VALDOSTA — The Jan. 26 basketball games between Gulf South Conference opponents Delta State and Valdosta State will air in front of a national television audience.
Both the women's and men's games have been picked up by the CBS College Sports Network and tabbed as the Division II Games of the Week.
According to the release by the conference office, the games are scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 26. The men's game would be scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. start.
Neither the men's or women's basketball teams at Valdosta State has released their 2012 schedules to media or the public, although that is expected to happen within the coming weeks.
The Blazers finished last year with a 11-16 record, the worst under head coach Mike Helfer. The Lady Blazers finished the year with a 22-8 record, losing by two points in the South Region Championship Game (Sweet 16) to host Rollins College, who made an appearance in the Final Four.
