Blazers fall in poll

Following their 28-24 loss to Saginaw Valley State on Saturday, the Valdosta State Blazers dropped 12 spots in the latest Division II American Football Coaches' Association Poll. The Blazers dropped from eighth to 20th in the latest poll, released Monday.

Fellow Gulf South Conference schools West Alabama and Delta State are both ranked. West Alabama climbed two spots to 13th following a season opening win at Clark Atlanta. Delta State dropped eight spots to No. 22 following a loss to Fort Valley State.

Valdosta State faces Fort Valley State Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
